General Questions
What services do you offer?
I offer individual and couples therapy—both in-person and online. Whether you’re working through anxiety, stress, relationship stuff, or just feel stuck and need someone to talk to, I’m here for it all. Think of me as your mental health co-pilot.
Who can benefit from your services?
Honestly? Just about anyone who wants to feel better mentally and emotionally. You don’t have to be in full-on crisis mode to benefit from therapy. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or just want to sort some things out, therapy can help.
Do you offer in-person and online therapy?
Absolutely! You can meet with me in person at the office or stay in your PJs and hop on a secure video session. Either way works!
Therapist & Service Info
How do I know if I’m choosing the right therapist?
Finding the right therapist is kind of like dating—there’s a vibe check involved. You’ll want to feel comfortable and understood. Take a look at my approach and style. If it feels like a match, great! If not, that’s okay too. I’m happy to help you find someone who fits.
What types of therapy do you use?
I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, EMDR (for trauma), and a bunch of other fancy tools that sound complicated but boil down to this: I’ll figure out what works best for you and go with that. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Are you licensed?
Yep! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over 25 years of experience. I’ve worked with all kinds of people, from anxious overthinkers to burned-out professionals, and I’m always learning new ways to help.
Appointments & Logistics
How do I book an appointment?
Super easy! You can book online, call me, or shoot me a message through email. I’ll get you set up.
What happens in the first session?
Think of the first session as a get-to-know-you chat. I’ll ask what brought you here, what you want to work on, and how I can help. No pressure—you can share as much or as little as you want. We’ll go at your pace.
How long are sessions?
Most sessions are about 50 minutes—enough time to get into things without feeling rushed.
How many sessions will I need?
Totally depends on you! Some people come for a few months, others stay longer. I’ll check in with you regularly to make sure therapy is helping and adjust things as we go.
Pricing & Insurance
How much does therapy cost?
Session fees vary depending on the service. Just reach out, and I’ll give you the details.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, I work with several major insurance plans and can also provide a superbill if you want to get reimbursed by your insurance. If you’re not sure what’s covered, I’ll help you figure it out!
Do you offer sliding scale or low-cost options?
I do! I want therapy to be accessible, so I offer sliding scale options based on financial need.
Confidentiality & Privacy
Is therapy confidential?
100%. What you share in therapy stays between us, with a few exceptions—like if there’s a risk of harm or suspected abuse. Your safety is my top priority.
How do you protect my personal information?
I’m HIPAA-compliant, which is a fancy way of saying your information is safe with me. Whether we meet in person or online, everything is secure and private.
Specialty Services
Do you work with kids and teens?
Sort of. I work with older teens that choose therapy for themselves, rather than being forced to go by an adult. Given my educational background, I feel that my services are best for older teens and adults. While it was a great career, I find that I enjoy the company of adults after 27 years in middle school.
Do you offer couples or family therapy?
Of course! Helping couples and families improve communication, navigate conflict, and strengthen their relationships is one of my favorite parts of this work.
Do you offer trauma therapy or EMDR?
Yes, I do. Trauma can feel heavy, but you don’t have to carry it alone. EMDR and other trauma-focused approaches can help you process and heal in a way that feels safe and manageable.
